General

Through this website, The I.T. Bear is attempting to provide customers an ability to learn about our company and services. This Site is designed for you, the customer and your interests. This privacy policy has been created in order to demonstrate The I.T. Bear’s commitment to individual privacy.

Submission of information

On this site, The I.T. Bear collects information from you, including:

name
email
phone number, if you choose to put one on a form
location
business and website details you type into the quote calculator
name, email, business name, website, and the report from the SEO & AIO scorecard form, if you use it
first name, last name, email, business name, and billing address from the hidden billing setup form, if you were sent that link. That form can use Google Places to suggest an address as you type; Google receives what you type in that box. Suburb is optional
interactions with us

The I.T. Bear may use this information collected from you for the following purposes:

To assist The I.T. Bear in providing quality services to support your business operations.
To respond to and process your request.
To inform you of, and provide you with, new and existing services offered by The I.T. Bear and selected third parties from time to time.

Quote forms on the pricing calculator are sent through Formspree. Jobs are invoiced. If we send a Stripe payment link, Stripe receives what you type to pay. The hidden billing setup page creates a Stripe customer and saves a card with Stripe Checkout (no charge on that step). The street box on that page can look up addresses with Google Places. If you agree to the terms on that form, you are also added to Honey News (MailerLite; confirm in the next email if you are new; unsubscribe any time). If you are already on Honey News we keep that one subscriber. Booking times are handled by Google Calendar. The SEO & AIO scorecard emails you the scores you asked for and stores the report so we can follow up about that request. If you accept the conditions on that form, you are also added to Honey News (MailerLite; confirm in the next email; unsubscribe any time). Those tools receive the details you submit so we can do the work. Any information we collect will not be used in ways that you have not consented to. If you send us an email, we will store your email address and the contents of the email. This information will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it. Electronic mail submitted to The I.T. Bear is handled and saved according to the provisions of the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. While The I.T. Bear does not generally require that you provide us with personal identifiable information in order to visit and use the Site, please note that in order to participate in some tasks, it will be necessary for you to provide this information.

If at any stage you no longer wish to receive communications from us, The I.T. Bear provides the opportunity to opt-out via email. We will remove your information from our database at your request.
