Kia ora! I’m Paul, the friendly human behind The I.T. Bear.

After years of watching people get stuck with un-bear-able tech deals and grizzly telco bills, I decided it was time to lend a paw. Too often, you're sold things you don't need by someone chasing a bonus, or you get tech advice from a well-meaning mate that isn't quite right.

That’s where I come in. I’m here to sniff out the best deals and help you find tech that actually works for you. No confusing jargon, no hibernation on hold music—just simple, paws-itive advice.

My goal is simple: “to make your tech easy, together.”

My commitment to security isn't just talk. Before starting The I.T. Bear, I managed installations for high-security government departments. I understand the importance of privacy and trust, and I'm happy to provide a current police check upon request.

When I’m not wrestling with routers, you’ll find me and my partner, Darryl, on a tiki tour around our beautiful Aotearoa. We split our time between Auckland and the Far North, usually while being bossed around by our two cats, Lady Lily and Lord Oliver. And like any self-respecting bear, I love a good feed, so I’m often cooking up a storm for friends and family.
